How to Create Your Student Profile in WebCT 6

1. To complete your profile, look in your assignment inbox for a "Student Profile" assignment. (Not all instructors will require this.)

Inbox Tab: Before you complete your profile, you will find it here.

Submitted Tab: After you have completed and submitted your profile to your instructor, it will be under this tab.

Graded Tab: After your profile has been graded, it will be under the "graded" tab. (Not all instructors grade profile assignments.)

Published Tab: If your instructor makes student profiles available to the entire class, you will find them here, under the "student profiles" assignment. Click this tab to see your classmates' profiles.

All settings for this screen are controlled by the instructor.

To begin working on an your profile, make sure you're in the Inbox, then click the Student Profiles assignment title to open it. you will find instructions and other details inside the assignment. Your instructor may request specific information for completing your profile.

2. After you open your Student Profile assignment, click the "Enable HTML Creator" button.

The HTML Creator looks very much like a word processor. Use it to change your font style, size, color, etc. You can also insert bullets, tables and images, if you wish. Spell check is available in this screen.

To insert an image, click the small yellow button in the left side of your tool bar. This button will allow you to upload an image or a picture to share. You will want to be sure your picture is small enough to fit your assignment!
