Performances of The Gut Girls are scheduled for February 23, 24, 25 and March 1, 2, 3.
About the Play
The play is The Gut Girls by Sarah Daniels. The story is set in England at the turn of the last century, and takes place in the context of the Industrial Revolution in England.
The “gut girls” are 5 young women working in the gutting shed of a meat processing concern; these are 5 great women’s parts, and two of them could be done by high school age actors. There is also one smaller part that could be cast in the same age range.
It is a large cast, and can be played by 8-17 actors, depending on whether we can cast it or need to double/triple cast. Male and female parts, age-range high school to mature, are available.
