The Western Nebraska Community College Music Program offers both a music major and minor associate degree, plus numerous music classes for the general college student. We award a total of 28 full scholarships to worthy vocal and instrumental musicians. These scholarshiops are available to both music and non-music majors. We offer classes in music fundamentals, music appreciation, basic and advanced music theory, sight singing and ear training, and all subject areas and levels of applied lessons, plus Elementary Music Methods and a Humanities couse in music. The student musician is given the opportunity to study privately and is encouraged to participate in the various performing ensembles include concert choir and concert band, chamber orchestra and vocal ensembles, show choir, jazz band and others.
