WNCC Foundation Fall Frolic
Sponsored by Valley Bank and Trust and Western States Bank
Join the fun and take strides to support higher education through the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation! When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, 8 a.m. This fun event for the entire family will feature races including a concurrent 5K run/walk (view map / view route) or a 10K run (view map / view route) for individuals and a 10K relay road race. To add to the fun, there will be a Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under, a costume contest among race participants, and much more! Participants will start on 27th Ave. near WNCC and turn north on 17th Ave. They will proceed north, then turn west on Larkspur Dr. They will turn north on 12th Ave., then west on 35th St., then north on Fifth Ave. 5Kers will turn east on 38th St. 10Kers will continue up 5th Ave., proceed across 42nd St. and go north on County Rd. 22 to a turn-around point near the canal. At the turn around point, 10Kers will backtrack south on CR 22, cross 42nd St. and proceed south on 5th Ave., then turn east on 38th St. From 38th St., all runners will proceed south on 12th Ave., then east on Larkspur Dr., and then south on 17th Ave. to the Finish Line at WNCC. |
