Western Nebraska Community College is a public, open-enrollment institution of higher education offering associate degrees and certificate programs in academic, professional, and vocational/technical fields.
We believe in student success. Academic advising, career counseling, tutoring, and a well-rounded student life is offered for all of our students. We also help students transition easily from a 2-year to a 4-year degree through articulation agreements with colleges and universities across the country.
Our mission in the Admissions Office is to be a student-centered department providing all necessary services pertaining to, but not limited to the admissions process. We believe it is our role to provide assistance to a diverse student population who seek personal and professional educational goals. With 28 student organizations and unlimited activities, plus Cougar Athletics, you’ll find it easy to get involved and show your school spirit. Students receive free admission to athletic events, many inside Cougar Palace, a 2,200-seat arena on the Scottsbluff Campus.

WNCC welcomes international students from around the world. Students from beyond our borders add a broad and rich dimension to the college educational experience for all students who attend. We have over 50 international students from countries like South Korea, Gambia, Venezuela, Brazil, and Tajikistan.
