| Position: | International Student Advisor & Women’s Volleyball Coach |
| Responsibilities: | Advisor Responsibilities: Responsible for providing academic advising to international students in order to meet the unique needs of the international student; assess student needs and desires regarding transfer to other institutions. Interpret assessment results; classify students according to risk criteria and recommend appropriate services. Provide academic advising; assist international students with career and educational decision making; make personal counseling referrals. Work with four-year higher education institutions to develop and maintain articulation agreements and transfer guides. Present, advertise and develop a variety of student workshops and training sessions; provide personal development small group experience for international students including assertiveness training, leadership institutes, career awareness, college survival skills, stress management, self-esteem, and transfer tips. Maintain up-to-date cumulative advising records and test results of international students served; maintain close working contact with four-year college admissions officials; maintain and update current college catalogs. Assist in processing international student registrations and withdrawals; monitor student progress; evaluate student transcripts for transfer. Provide staff assistance to the Vice President; prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence. Attend various training sessions, meetings and workshops; stay abreast of new developments in the field of student academic advising and the nuances of international students. Coordinate on-campus visits for four-year institutions. Review international student training and advising materials; and make recommendations. Administer and evaluate international student surveys. Perform related duties as required. Reports to Vice President of Student Services. |
| Qualifications: | Master’s degree in education or counseling. Special requirements include: Knowledge of educational offerings, career management, and student assessment skills gained through experience or relevant coursework; Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and of NJCAA rules and regulations which govern college athletics gained through experience or relevant coursework. |

| Responsibilities: | Due to burgeoning student enrollments, Western Nebraska Community College has immediate openings for qualified Adjunct Instructors in science, mathematics, and nursing clinical supervision. College transfer-level instruction (some via an Interactive Television System) for General Biology, Physical Science, and/or Environmental Science (with on-site labs at all 3 campuses). The nursing clinical students are placed at area health-care facilities. Mathematics instruction may be at the developmental level, especially at Alliance and Scottsbluff. An ideal candidate will be a content expert willing to become an active, involved team member who provides superior instruction through best practices methodology and assesses student learning effectively. Some evening and weekend scheduling may be required, as well as travel to two other college campuses or clinical locations in the area. |
| Qualifications: | Masters degree in the content area, or a masters degree in a related field and 18 hours of coursework in the subject area. Developmental mathematics requires only a bachelors degree and experience, and a BSN will be considered for the nursing clinical positions. |

| Responsibilities: | Develop and instruct courses for the Wind Turbine Technician program.
