Every ten years, Western Nebraska Community College undergoes an institutional accreditation visit presenting an opportunity for the College to conduct a self-examination to assure high quality education.

The NCA Evaluation Team visited the college in February, 2000. The College prepared and submitted to NCA a comprehensive Self-Study Report that examined the institution.

The 2000 site visit achieved its purpose of providing evidence that the College satisfies criteria for continued accreditation and identified areas where the institution could improve.  The NCA Evaluation Team recommended continued accreditation for Western Nebraska Community College, and formally granted the College continued accreditation through 2010.
