    This Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, the Student Veterans Organization (SVO) at Western Nebraska Community College is dedicating a memorial to all fallen soldiers of the panhandle.  The "Fallen Heroes Memorial," as it is named, is a large bronze casting of a pair of combat boots, rifle, and helmet, placed on a block of granite.  The memorial will stand by the flagpole at the Main Building on the Scottsbluff Campus.  ...     In February, Western Nebraska Community College launched two EntrepreneurShip Investigation (ESI) after school clubs for kids.  Over the past four months, 22 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders have learned valuable lessons about what it takes to be an entrepreneur.  One club meets in the John N.     Western Nebraska Community College and Nebraska Transport Company (NTC) are proud to announce the implementation of the NTC Academy, an innovative collaboration created to strengthen the NTC workforce.  The NTC Academy kicked off this morning with the first training session.  WNCC President Dr. Todd Holcomb was present to officially welcome NTC and their Chief Executive Officer Brent Holliday to the WNCC Business and Community Education Division.  ...     The Adult Education Department at Western Nebraska Community College is pleased to announce this year's annual GED Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the John N. Harms Advanced Technology Center on the Scottsbluff Campus.  Twenty-four graduates are expected to participate.  From April 2012 to April 2013, more than 80 students completed their GED requirements and became eligible to attend graduation.  This total includes students from the counties of Cheyenne, Dawes, Kimball, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, and Sheridan....     Western Nebraska Community College is excited to announce a new partnership with Bellevue University, a four-year institution that offers bachelor's and post graduate degrees.  Starting this fall semester, Bellevue University will offer classes on the WNCC Scottsbluff Campus.   WNCC President Dr. Todd Holcomb stated, "I knew of Bellevue's success and solid reputation before I even moved to Nebraska.  Now, I can say from experience that Bellevue is indeed a first-class higher education institution."  ...
