Each year, the students of WNCC Scottsbluff elect a governing body to represent them in campus affairs. The Student Government is composed of elected officers, elected representatives of the freshman and sophomore classes, and designated representatives of all official campus organizations. Election of officers and sophomore representatives is held in the spring with freshman representatives chosen each fall.

The Student Government sets up the college social calendar, charters other student organizations, participates on various college committees, and is charged with the responsibility of expressing student opinion and promoting student morale.
