Mission Statement
Tutoring Services supports the mission of Western Nebraska Community college by providing quality one-on-one or small group learning assistance by certified and peer tutors who encourage students in the development of their potential as independent learners.

Staff Information
Our tutors are (1) certified tutors--those who have a teaching certificate, or (2) peer tutors--WNCC students who have successfully completed the courses they tutor and have been recommended by faculty or the division chair. The majority of the peer tutors have received training in tutoring skills by attending a credit training course nationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
