Online Learning and Services

WNCC uses Blackboard/WebCT Campus Edition 8 (Bb/WebCT) for the delivery of online, hybrid/blended, and web-enabled courses.

With Bb/WebCT instructors can:

  • provide course content (like the syllabus or lecture notes)
  • communicate with students (via email, discussion boards, or wimba)
  • facilitate student learning activities and group work
  • create and manage individual and group assignments
  • deliver online quizzes and exams
  • manage student grades

Bb/WebCT is web-based and is accessed through an internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Faculty and students can access the system from anywhere they have access to the World Wide Web. The system is unavailable from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday afternoons for regular maintenance.

The Bb/WebCT environment is a password-protected environment; each instructor and student must use his/her WNCC username and password to access courses.
