Online Learning and Services

WNCC uses Blackboard/WebCT Campus Edition 6 (CE 6) for the delivery of online, hybrid/blended, and web-enabled courses.

With CE 6 instructors can:

  • provide course content (like the syllabus or lecture notes)
  • communicate with students (via email, discussion boards, or wimba)
  • facilitate student learning activities and group work
  • create and manage individual and group assignments
  • deliver online quizzes and exams
  • manage student grades

CE 6 is web-based and is accessed through an internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Faculty and students can go into CE 6 from anywhere they have access to the World Wide Web. The system is unavailable from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday afternoons for regular maintenance.

The CE 6 environment is a password-protected environment; each instructor and student must use his/her WNCC username and password to access courses.
