Online Tutoring Options

FREE Online Tutoring is Available!

Have you ever wished there were someone to help you right there in your own home?

WNCC is pleased to provide you with access to online tutoring provided by SMARTHINKING. With SMARTHINKING, you have access to one-on-one tutoring up to 24 hours a day from ANY internet connection - at NO cost to you.

SMARTHINKING provides real people to work with you in a wide range of subjects including:

  • writing
  • math (basic math through calculus II)
  • accounting
  • statistics
  • economics
  • biology
  • intro human a & p
  • physics
  • chemistry
You can also submit your writing from ANY class to SMARTHINKING's Online Writing Lab for a tutor to review. The tutor will provide you with detailed, personalized feedback about your essay, typically within 24 hours.

How to Contact an Online Tutor:

  1. Log in to Blackboard: wncc.blackboard.com.
  2. Click on your course and go to your course home page.
If your instructor has added Online Tutoring for your course, you will find a link in the navigation panel located in the left side menu or on the course home page. Click the link to to choose the help options that are available to you.

Note to Online Students:
When you login to Blackboard, you will see your online courses listed, but the content for those courses will not be available to you until the first day of classes. All online students are expected to login to their classes on the day they begin.
