    SCOTTSBLUFF, NE <April 17, 2014> – The Military and Veterans Affairs office at Western Nebraska Community College will host its first annual Female Veterans Conference entitled “Women of the Military” on Saturday, June 7 at the Sidney Campus from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Collaborators in the event include the VA Medical Centers of Black Hills, Cheyenne, and Omaha.     The Western Nebraska Community College Motorsports Club will host its eleventh annual car show and open house on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Vehicle registration for those planning to show their car or motorcycle begins at 9:00 a.m. and costs $15. This price includes a lunch for two and a dash plaque.     The NSAA 2014 District VI Music Contest will be held at Western Nebraska Community College Scottsbluff Campus on Thursday, April 24. Nearly 1000 vocal and instrumental musicians, representing 13 area school systems will compete for ratings throughout the day. Sharon Hoffman of Bayard is the contest coordinator; Rita Stinner and Dr. Nathaniel Johnson of the WNCC Music Program are the site coordinators.
