Unveiling of Kids' "Gallery in a Box"Artwork

June 18, 2013

On Wednesday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. in room B132 of the John N. Harms Advanced Technology Center on the Scottsbluff Campus, the 6th and 7th graders who have participated in the "Gallery in a Box" summer camp will unveil their mini-exhibits.  The media is invited to attend the unveiling.

These young artists designed their exhibits after being inspired by the artifacts and stories shared by volunteers and staff of the North Platte Valley and the Farm and Ranch Museums, which are currently in the process of combining into one larger, state-of-the-art facility -- the Legacy of the Plains Museum.

This camp, which began on June 17, has been a collaboration between the Legacy of the Plains Museum and Western Nebraska Community College, and was supported, in part, by a Monsanto Grant donated to the museum by Norm and Christy Strong.
